Christians Have to Engage the Bible Starting in Churches

All churches incorporate the teachings in the Bible to all Christians in one method or another. Many, if not all, churches would teach the verses in the Bible with the goal of teaching the contexts accurately as possible and be able to recognize and respect the words of God while sending out the messages to Christians. The words of God are being taught in churches in the most in-depth manner but not overly simplifying it to Christian listeners, and at the same time understandable and accessible in its message.

Bible study is important to Christians, and yet many people would still wonder if the teachings during mass or gatherings are not enough by considering further Bible study. Let us give a brief insight as to why it is important for Christians to read further some Bible study. God’s words are reflected on the Bible, and by studying it, we will get to know more about our God, why He thinks in such a way, and what and how He thinks in that context. And to enjoy all the blessings of God and escape destruction, the Bible teaches us how God operates.

The first reason pointed out why we study the Bible is have some revelation of our position in Christ. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is focusing its message around our Messiah Jesus Christ, and that it is through Jesus that mankind can be saved. It is revealed to us through studying the Bible that we can exercise triumph only in Christ, and that we are taught how to gain access to this victory.

Our inheritance in Christ and what belongs to us are revealed in the Bible as we study it. Among the inheritance that Paul mentioned in Acts 20:32 that are from the words of God, like we shall inherit healing, prosperity, long life, peace, and ultimately eternal life, and these are all sanctified. This lack of knowledge is said to be the means that devil will cheat or destroy us, and so we have to have knowledge in order to enjoy what we as Christians have inherited from God.

The revelation of our authority over the devil is revealed in the Bible, thus the devil does not have dominion over Christians.

Our spiritual growth is enhanced as we read the Bible, just like eating food where our body is being nourished, so does our spirit is nourished when we read the Bible. Through Bible study, young Christians will grow spiritually and become matured Christian believers, by keeping the word of God in their hearts, keeping them away from sins.
